Meet Our Dentists
THUY-TU NGUYEN, DMD
I developed an interest in dentistry very early on. From my first dental visit at age 4, it was always my goal to become a dentist. I spent my formative years in the South Shore of Montréal until 1991, when I was accepted in Dentistry at the Université de Montréal. After I obtained my degree, I pursued a General Practice Residency at the Montreal General Hospital. I have been practicing at Orleans Gardens Dental Centre since 1996.
My personal approach to dentistry has been shaped by my early experiences with wonderful, calm and caring dental professionals. I am fortunate to have a practice with friendly and committed staff and colleagues. I would like to thank all my patients for trusting me with their care and that of their family members and also extend a welcome to new patients.
KEN MARENCO, DDS
Dr. Marenco completed his dental education at McGill University in 1998. In 1999, he went on to pursue graduate training at the Montreal General Hospital’s general practice residency. From 1999 – 2003, Dr. Marenco acted as faculty lecturer and clinical instructor to the dental residents at the Montreal General Hospital, a graduate teaching clinic of McGill University’s Faculty of Dentistry. From 1999 – 2003, he provided endodontic and surgical periodontal therapy at two general dental practices in Montreal while providing comprehensive dental care at a third clinic. In 2003, Dr. Marenco moved to Ottawa, where he became part owner of the Orleans Gardens Dental Centre.
DAVID CRAIG, BSC, DDS
Wisdom Teeth & Surgical Extractions
Dr. David Craig graduated from the University of Dalhousie 1992 where he obtained his degree in dentistry. He relocated to the Kingston area in 1997 where he continued to practice dentistry and ran the clinic at RMC Kingston. Dr. Craig took over the practice of Dr. John Brisley when he retired from his Napanee clinic in 1999, and of Dr. John Turner when he retired from his Kingston clinic in 2002. Since then, Dr. Craig has also inherited the patients of Dr. Tom McDonough and Dr. Lapeer as they ended their careers in dentistry. Dr. Craig also performs surgery in Ottawa involving wisdom teeth removal and implant placement.
Dr. Craig has taken continuing education and additional training in a variety of dental services such as Surgical Restoration, IV sedation and Advanced Nitrous Oxide, Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, Medical Emergencies, Nitrous Oxide and Oral Sedation, Operative Dentistry as well as Oral Surgery. Dr. Craig enjoys the small town feel that Kingston and Napanee have to offer. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Craig enjoys spending time with his wife, Krista, and his two beautiful children Portia and Pierce. He enjoys golf, boating, skiing and travelling.
